Bishops is one of the four South African named schools, with its Partner Schools, Herschel, St Cyprian's, St George's and LEAP1, for the Rhodes Scholarship, available annually.

RE – Applications for the Bishops & Partner Schools Rhodes Scholarship - 2020/21
 
I am pleased to be able to include the flyer and the current link for applications for the 2020/21 Rhodes Scholarship  https://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/media/44751/information-for-candidates-southern-africa.pdf 
 
Applications open on 1 June 2020 and close at 23h59 on 15 August 2020.

Kindly take note of the following resolution passed by the Bishops Council:
 
In addition to being open to past pupils (of at least one year) of Bishops, St George’s, Herschel, St Cyprian’s and the LEAP1 School, the following men and women may apply for the Bishops & Partner Schools Rhodes Scholarship for 2020/21 :
 
Sons and daughters of:
-Members of present and past academic and support staff of Bishops and its Partner Schools (St Cyprian’s School, Herschel Girls School, St George’s Grammar School and LEAP1) who have served or will serve the said schools for at least five years;
-Present and past parents at Bishops and its Partner Schools, who have, or have had, or will have had a son or daughter at the school for at least five years;
-Present and past members of the Bishops Council and the Councils/Board of Governors/Governing Bodies of the Partner Schools who have served the school for at least five years;
-Members of the Alumnae/i  Associations of Bishops and its Partner Schools, where such son or daughter was educated in South Africa for at least five years.
