Brian passed away from cancer surrounded by his wife Lynn, eldest son Craig and his daughter in law Katie Mackenzie in Fourways, Johannesburg on the morning of the 7th of June 2020 at the age of 81.

Mr. Brian Walter Mackenzie, born on the 3rd of October 1938  matriculated at Bishops. He studied an IMM diploma in Marketing and Management and worked for the likes of Promardis  Pharmaceuticals a subsidiary of Protea holdings as the Managing Director and moved on to open his own cosmetic, haircare and household disinfectants company. Later he would sell this company to an American company and retire.

Brian was an avid race car driver and drove countless hill climbs in a Lotus 7 outside Durban. He later went on to compete in the modified saloons at Kyalami race track in Johannesburg against the likes of racing greats such as Sarel van der Merwe.

Brian passed away from cancer surrounded by his wife Lynn, eldest son Craig and his daughter in law Katie Mackenzie in Fourways, Johannesburg on the morning of the 7th of June 2020 at the age of 81. Due to the COVID lockdown, his sons Bruce and Grant who reside in Mauritius were sadly not able to be in South Africa at this sad time.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn and his family Craig, Katie, Bruce, Sarah, Grant and Colette Mackenzie as well as grandchildren Olivia, Jack, Matthew and Mia Mackenzie.

He will be sorely missed and never forgotten
