Matt Born (2003F) takes over the reins of Middle East Branch of the ODU. Having spent 20+ years in the UAE, he is well versed in the way of life and work in the middle east. He runs Precious Metals for Tradition, a Global Inter Dealer Broker based in the DIFC. Matt is also Chairman of Barrelhouse Rugby Club, one of the oldest Clubs in the region, focused on the social enjoyment of being in a RugbyClub - whilst playing excellent Running Rugby. Matt has a keen interest in Fly Fishing, specifically Salt water and chairs the Queens of Dubai Fly Fishing Society and has a partnership in Ocean Active fly, the number 1 fly fishing operator in the UAE & Oman.
From Matt: "I would like to see the Middle East branch of the UAE be utilised more than it has been in the past... The Middle East offers huge opportunities to OD's; be it for work or lifestyle. However understanding the processes and getting through the disinformation around moving here, setting yourself and your family up, starting a business or being hired, can be a daunting prospect. I'd like to think talking to someone from Bishops will give you trust in the information you receive and make your decisions easier. Equally meeting your fellow OD's in Country will make you feel more at home! I look forward to helping the ODU expand its reach and support of those OD's who are not in SA."
There will be a meet up towards the end of September/beginning of October, to all OD's in the region, please join our whatsapp group through : https://chat.whatsapp.com/G7Gckn5X3MN2xU0Dt5WOKN
