John Winshaw (1960F) | 1942 - 2019

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of John WInshaw (1960F)

Alan Ramsay (1960F)
writes: "After a long battle with cancer, despite having been so fit all his life. John was an old school friend of mine and his grandfather, an American medical doctor, founded Stellenbosch Farmers’ Winery, now part of Distell. John’s dad was later chairman and John joined the company as a cellar master. He then left to do his own wine farming and today his sons run Usana, a well-established wine and farming business just outside Stellenbosch."

Please see obituary from his son, John Philip (2001F) below.
