The Medical 10 is an annual funrun/walk for health professionals which started in 1978 to show their patients that they practiced what they preached about a healthy lifestyle, especially with regard to exercise.
As a result of the Covid pandemic, for the last two years it has been a "virtual" event - so that instead of a mass start and finish at the WPCC Sports Complex , participants have run or walked their 10 k's at a time and venue of their own choice. Nevertheless, this year a group of runners and walkers still made use of the traditional route , including a loop up the Bishops Avenue , but starting and finishing at the home next to the Common of Bob Baigrie (1974F). Despite the overcast weather, the participants were still able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Avenue in the early morning which makes Bishops special.
