25 September - OD Clubs and Branches

Dear Jeremy

Clubs & Interest Groups:

Today we are introducing ODU Clubs and Interest Groups. We have created a new page on the website to display news, events and the members of each. By setting these up, we hope to increase networks of engagement and socialising among friends, old and new.

Please join the (link below) groups that interest you to help get them started. We’re currently on the hunt for all ODs in “Food and Wine”. If you own a restaurant or produce beverages, it would be great if you join the group.

Branches – where are you now?

The branch secretaries are struggling to track down ODs in their area. You can find the details of your branch secretary here. Feel free to make contact with them. Please also make sure that your country is correct against your OD Connect profile on the OD Union website. Login here, check and update.

Familiarise yourself with the website structure and let me know your thoughts. If you have an idea for a new club, do not hesitate to contact me and we will set one up.

Kind regards,
Jeremy Ryall (2014F)

Barrie MacKellar (1959O) | 1940 - 2020

Sadly, Mike Bromfield, the former Deputy Head of the prep school, who retired from the Prep at the end of 2008, passed away on 4 August. He had been ill but his passing was nevertheless quite sudden and unexpected.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Heather, their daughter Fiona, extended family and friends. Rest in peace, Mike.
