20 November | Join the OD Business Directory

Dear Jeremy

What a disruptive year; Christmas lights will be going up in the next few weeks but the December holiday will not be what we are used to.

The service industry will undoubtedly take a hit during this traditionally festive period. We urge you then, to utilise the various functionalities we have recently added to OD Connect. Sign up to our Business Directory, collaborate via the OD Union LinkedIn Professional Forum group or utilise our club functions to form support structures amongst OD friends.

John Albertyn (1989S) has been lending his hand to fellow ODs in the Willowmore region by organising truckloads of feed to be transported to struggling farmers. Geoff Brownell (1969G) and the family have donated some of their beautiful Browns' Gold Olive Oil to the VUSA Academy with 100% of proceeds supporting the VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy in Langa. Ryan Julius (2013K) chats to us about his dream move to the Dutch Hockey league and Nick Fenton-Wells (2004F) gets stuck in about his new role at the Bristol Bears.

November is remembrance month for those who gave their lives in all conflict since WWI ended in 1918. Last week we showcased many different articles dedicated to those fallen ODs as well as how the school honoured them. In issue 6 of The Old Diocesan, Dr Paul Murray honours those who fell and the Bishops record in the navy during World War II.

Kind regards,

Jeremy Ryall (2014F)
