If it's Oxford in May, then it's Cambridge in June. Or more strictly, Cambridgshire. Dr Philip Hazel (1961F) a certified guide at Anglesey Abbey will be leading a party of ODs and their wives/partners/friends on a tour of the famous gardens. He will talk about the key historical and botanical points of interest. This is a gentle walk with plenty of stops. Lunch, after the garden tour, is at a nearby pub and we return for a visit to the House itself, finishing with tea.
The garden tour, including the Mill, is about an hour-and-a-half. We'd aim to arrive at Anglesey Abbey by 10.30am for coffee before we set out at 11am, and we should be finshed by 3.30pm (ish).
The cost of participating is the entry fee into the Anglesey Abbey grounds (£16pp) but free if you are a card-carryng member of the National Trust or Royal Horticultural Society.
