Bishops Community Week Golf Day
Royal Cape Golf Club, Cape Town
Wednesday 15 Sep 2021
12:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Bishops Community Week is dedicated to fundraising for the Invest In Our Future Foundation a Citadel and Bishops partnership developed to provide funding for Bishops school leavers from 2022 to pursue a tertiary education as well as for OD start-ups. The week which kicks of 4 October and ends 11th October includes a musical soiree in the Memorial Chapel, an art exhibition showcasing talented ODs and students, a fine wine and dining evening and auction, sporting activities between ODs and the School, a community event and finally the golf day.
As part of the Bishops Community Week, a Golf Day is being held at the Royal Cape Golf Club, Cape Town on Monday 11 October from 12:30 for the Bishops Community. Those wanting play can contact Andy Davis: [email protected]. Please note that 4balls and hole sponsors are limited so there is a first come first serve basis.
We thought that it would be great fun to extend this event to all our OD branches with the first Invest in our Future Foundation (IIOFF) International Golf Challenge!
How it works:
Make up a fourball and play 18 holes at your local golf course. At least one member of your fourball must be an OD!
Play your round before 25 October 2021.
Please contribute an amount equal to or more than your collective green fees for the day to the IIOFF.
At the end of the round, combine your scores and email it together with your full contact details and proof of payment to: [email protected]. Please also take a photograph of your fourball for the OD website and newsletter.
Please make payment to the IIOFF bank account:
Bank: Standard Bank
Acc. Type: Business Current Account
Acc. Name: Citadel Philanthropy Foundation Trust
Branch Number: 02 0909
Account number: 070 598 274
Payment reference: Surname intgolf
Irrespective of the course difficulty and stroke, FIVE fourballs will be selected in a lucky draw and will receive a free entry into the OD IIOFF raffle taking place early next year where the prize is entry for the last two days of The 150th Open taking place at the Old Course, St Andrews in Fife, Scotland in July 2022.
The first IIOFF International Golf Challenge fourball is being led by Simon Burrow (1968F) who will be playing at the Avignon Chateaublanc course in France on 14 October with three other non-ODs. The green fees are 65€ so his team will be donating at least 260€ to the IIOFF. Please join us in not only supporting the IIOFF, but in having some fun as well.
