Proposal: A new ODC will be elected as per the normal candidate and voting process (some current members and some new members are most likely to form the new ODC).

Members will then be asked to vote on an additional item, being the proposed tenure of this new ODC. The current ODC proposes to revert to the usual March AGM going forward, but due to March 2022 being only 6 months away, we propose asking members to vote on a “once-off” ODC tenure being extended to March 2023. In other words, 18 months for this next ODC tenure rather than a 6 month tenure (which is the tenure the current OD Constitution suggests), in which it would be difficult to perform a meaningful role in such a short space of time. If this proposal is accepted, those interested in putting names forward for this new ODC will have clarity as to what they are committing to. We would still hold the March 2022 AGM for other normal business. We will send out the formal AGM notice and agenda on 22 September 2021, for the upcoming AGM being held on 6 October 2021.
