You are invited to a talk by Ian Michler (1977, White). Ian is a conservationist, filmmaker, and environmental writer dedicated to protecting Africa’s wilderness areas. He has worked extensively in the Okavango Delta and across southern Africa, advocating for sustainable conservation and opposing trophy hunting. He is the lead character, researcher, and co-leader of the campaign for the award-winning documentary Blood Lions, which exposes the realities of the multi-million dollar captive predator breeding and canned lion hunting industries in South Africa.
Ian will be talking at the Mitre on the topic ‘living sustainably’ - how society’s living patterns are inextricably altering the earth’s primary systems and what we CAN do about it.
