The Mitre office staff is here to make your event planning experience smooth and enjoyable. Whether you're considering a reunion, memorial service, or any other event, we're ready to assist you every step of the way. To start planning, simply reach out to our Events Facilitator, Dedry, at [email protected]. She will guide you through the process, providing booking forms, catering options, layout details, and other essential information. For reunions, she'll even help with advertising.

There are FIVE basic steps to follow:

  1. Contact our Events Facilitator via email ([email protected]) and telephone (021-6591020).
  2. Book an available date on the ODU Calendar.
  3. Complete the booking forms that set out available options and all the T's and C's.
  4. Publish your event details on social media and invite your class or guests.
  5. Contact Dedry to check that you have got everthing covered

Some important things to know and consider.

  • Founders weekend and popular sporting weekends fill up quickly, so the earlier you book, the better.
  • For memorial services honoring ODs, Dedry can connect you with the Chaplain, assist with printing, flowers, catering, and more.
  • There's no charge for hiring the Mitre for OD memorial services, but there are fees for cleaning and furniture moving if required.
  • Remember, the booking must be done by an OD, but the Mitre can be booked by anyone; the OD just signs the forms as surety.

For any questions or queries, we're just an email away at [email protected]. We're here to answer all your questions regarding arrangements and costs. Let's make your Mitre experience memorable and stress-free. Looking forward to assisting you!
