The VUSA 24-Hour Cycle Challenge returns to Piley Rees Field from 8pm on Friday, 4 September to 8pm on Saturday, 5 September.
We would love to see the OD community out in force. Gather your mates, register a bike and take turns keeping it moving for the full 24 hours. Social teams may include up to 24 riders, while teams of six can enter the competitive category.
If cycling is not your thing, enter a team in our first-ever potjie competition. Bring your best recipe and compete for great prizes, with the winning potjie chosen by a surprise celebrity judge.
The Cycle Challenge is one of VUSA's most important annual fundraisers. The funds raised help VUSA support more than 2,000 children in Langa through rugby, literacy and numeracy programmes, digital learning, a daily hot meal and psychosocial support.
Even if you are not competing, come down to Piley Rees to support the riders and enjoy a great day with the Bishops community. There will be live entertainment, children's activities, food stalls, the Springbok / Allblacks game and plenty of gees.
