The 38th annual Walker Cup golf day between the OD’s and “Bosch” old boys, is scheduled to take place on Sunday 15 March.

The OD team and event organiser is John Smuts (1969S). Whilst he is making good progress with finalising the team, he is still short of players. Last year, the OD team was short, thereby forfeiting a few matches (and the trophy!) to Bosch! We don’t want that to happen again! Follow the link below for more details.

Venue: Rondebosch Golf Club
Date: Sunday 15 March 2020
Time: TBC (around 1 pm) – Shotgun start
Competition: 4BBB Stableford
Number of golfers required per team: 64
Cost: TBC (approx. R300, depending on the cost of the snacks to be provided)

John has a database of approx. 140 OD golfers, but many are either not available or have not replied. He is particularly keen to get some of the newer OD’s involved in the event and to get them onto his database.

Could any interested golfers please make contact with John (Email: [email protected] or Cell/WhatsApp: 082 562 6947) – even if you can’t play this time, but would be keen to play in future. We also have another outing in September for the Old Quad Shield, between the o/b’s of Bishops, Rondebosch, SACS & Wynberg.

John is looking forward to your replies.
