Covid-19 Statement

Following President Ramaphosa's statement on Sunday 15 March the Union has issued its own.
Following the announcement last night of the National State of Disaster and subsequent actions were taken by the government, Bishops will be closing its doors after the school day on Monday 14 March, with a view to returning on Tuesday 14 April. Online-teaching options will be explored should the school not be able to return as planned. This is a decision we fully support.

While this is an unprecedented situation with an unknown future, it is a time to be cautious, to be responsible and to unite and work together as one. Please follow the link to read the President’s full statement, should you not already have seen it.

It is, of course, an ongoing situation moving rapidly and so we encourage everyone to follow government protocols.

We would welcome feedback from ODs around the world, informing us of what is happening in their communities.

Pro fide et patria.
