As one enters the War Memorial Chapel through the Doorway, above is the 1914 - 1918 Roll of Honour.

The Chapel was dedicated in 1926 and a year after, General Jan Smuts unveiled the War Memorial Bronze plaque over the main door, commemorating the names of those ODs who had given their lives Pro Fide Et Patria in WWI.

Above the tablet is a mosaic depicting the Legend of St George and the Dragon, a story of Evil vanquished by Good.

In the Great War, 112 former students of the College heeded the call to take up arms for democracy in a far-away place from where they never returned.

These are the ODs whose names appear above the Chapel.

Ad Maioram Gloriam Dei.
