Vincent Wells from the Desert

Just a special piece of memorabilia from WWII
Just a special piece of memorabilia from WWII
Vince van der Bijl (1965F) wrote in with the attachments below: "Tony and Clive at different times sent this letter to me - it meant much to them as it showed the character of the school and its people.

This to me is special - the story of Bishops during WW11

Vincent Wells recognized Tony and Clive van Ryneveld for their character and abilities so early.

I thought it would interest many ODs.

This to me is what school is all about - the soul and school ever-thinking of others
  • a letter from the teacher to the boys
  • and the teacher receiving a letter from the HM Birt in the desert
and Dad gets a mention

Just a special piece of memorabilia

best regards

Vince"
