Branch Secretary Dirk S.van Doorn:
Dear Middle East OD’s
As the weather starts cooling down in the Middle East and most of us have returned from our extended summer breaks it is time to have an annual get together of the Middle East OD branch.
Given the massive geographic spread of the Middle East I have proposed two possible dates when we could met up so that OD’s can plan for attending the proposed event.
The intention is to meet up in Dubai given the high concentration of OD’s in Dubai. We would like OD’s from the around the Middle East to join us.
The event is planned for a Thursday night.
By way of email I would be grateful if you could indicate what the preference would be for the meeting date.
Would you prefer the 22nd of November 2018 or the 6th of December 2018
Will you be attending with or without your spouse/partner?
In terms of venues I am considering the following options from a practical point of view: (cost, parking and ambience)
I have not confirmed any of the above venues as it will be decided based on the number of OD’s and their partners that would like to attend.
If you can complete the below information I would be very grateful. The data will also be shared with the OD office in Cape Town in order to help the ODU to keep its records current.
Year you Matriculated
On a separate note if you know of any other OD’s in the Middle East please share this email with them and let me know so that I can add them to the mailing list.
I look forward to hearing from you by no later than the 26th of October 2018
Dirk S.van Doorn
