The Mission in his own words:

On Saturday the 25th of May 2024 I'll be putting my 'old', rusty, taped together body through a 100km (62miles) race from London to Brighton with the single mission of raising as much funds and awareness as I possibly can for Dementia UK.

It's for a cause very close to home, experiencing it through my own mother, Penny, and one which effect so many others across the globe. Many have very little assistance or knowledge on how to cope with this debilitating disease and I want to do what I can to help.

With everyone's help, I believe we can make a difference for the good, even if just a conversation between friends on the topic. The pilgrimage is the excuse and the fuel to try get the topic circulating in any shape and form regarding Dementia and other progressive brain disorders, such as Alzheimer’s.

Dementia UK is who I will be championing and looking to raise funds and awareness for. They do an amazing job in the UK in assisting individuals and families dealing with dementia from a support and advice perspective.

The money would help grow their “Admiral Nurses” numbers, who are the individuals providing the free support and assistance.

We wish Adrian everything of the best as he embarks on this epic mission!
