Jeremy Ractliffe (1952,O) passed away on 1 July 2024 (age 88) at his home in Plettenberg Bay.
Born in Bedford, England, George led a distinguished career in South Africa's corporate sector. He started as an executive trainee at B.P. in Cape Town and climbed the ranks to significant positions such as Executive Director at Brick & Clay and Managing Director at Cape Gas. George was deeply respected as Group Finance Director and later as Group Commercial Director at Murray & Roberts Holdings Ltd. Beyond his professional contributions, he was a trustee of The Murray Trusts, a passionate tennis player, an avid reader, and a dedicated father. George's leadership, integrity, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
