Brendan Fogarty (Prep Staff) featured in the Saturday edition of The Star, a South African newspaper based in Gauteng, for the life-altering work that he is doing through the VUSA Rugby Academy in Langa, Cape Town.
Mr Fogarty, as many ODs affectionately will remember him, is giving kids in Langa an opportunity to dream big, by changing their outlook from realities of gang violence, struggle and hardship, into dreams of community, hard work, and hubs of excellence.
Importantly, those same dreams involve us as ODs too. You can play a significant role in supporting those dreams of safety, comfort and success.
What began as a part-time rugby programme has escalated to a holistic programme creating sport and educational opportunities for the children of Langa.  As such, a decision has been made to register the VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy Trust.  NPO and PBO registration is currently underway and this will allow greater scope for partnerships through CSI initiatives.
