Michael King, previous Vice Principal visits

Michael King has tea with OD Ambassador, Paul Murray to discuss his latest novel.

Michael King, a former Vice Principal, came to greet Paul Murray on his return from Cambridge.  They discussed his latest (third) novel entitled Recessional, which is about characters in a school environment that experience the first hand changes from a previously colonial-based education curriculum, to one relevant to the changing South African society.

Michael is the the recipient of the Roger Newdigate Poetry Prize that he was awarded in 1977 when he was at Oriel College (Oxford) as the St Andrew’s Rhodes Scholar.

We will be organising a talk at the Mitre for Michael to come to discuss his book.  Details will be sent in due course.

For further details please contact Paul Murray [email protected]
