The Bishops 175th Anniversary Lunch - Founders Day 8th March at The Carlton Club
We are very privileged to have Sir Anthony Seldon as our guest of honour and speaker. He is arguably one of Britain's top historians, political biographers and for his day job, has been the celebrated Headmaster of Brighton College, Wellington College and now Epsom College. In between he was the Vice-Chancellor of Buckingham University.
He is also one of the most influential voices in the English (and global) school education. In his book, written presciently in 2019, "The Fourth Education Revolution: Will Artificial Intelligence liberate or infantilise humanity?" he anticipates the advent and impact of AI in education. The book has been widely read and on this subject, shapes the agenda globally.
It is not often that we get the chance to listen to the views of such an eminent — and provocative —thinker. Places have already been snapped up and with only a handful still available, if you have not yet reserved your seat, you really should do so now. Wives and partners as always most welcome. The lunch (jacket and OD tie) will start at 12h15 with a pre-lunch drinks reception and formally end at 14h15. The cost, all drinks included is £55 for ODs who matriculated in 2013 or earlier, and all wives/partners, and £45 for those who matriculated in 2014 or later. OD ties and jackets.
This is a great chance to celebrate Bishops 175th anniversary and hear (and challenge) one of the most intelligent thinkers in British education.
