Eden Sanchez-Gagiano (1999S), whose family's connection to Bishops is 125 years, visited The Mitre.

It is not every day that an OD with a fifth generation Bishops connection, visits!

Class of 1999

It was a happy day for little Wilfred Sanchez-Gagiano (6 weeks old) registered to enter Bishops in 2028 as a fifth generation Bishops boy.

Eden and his wife Kate (nee Shearer) visted The Mitre yesterday (Thursday 14 September 2023) with their baby boy Wilfred, and his mother Pam and father Andre.

The main purpose other than to come back to his school, Eden wanted to show Wilfred his six week old boy, something of his Bishops past.

Eden (1999S) was in School House in 1999; Andre Gagiano (1994S) his brother, was also in School House, in 1994; JJ Gagiano (2003S) was in School House in 2003.

Their link is through Pam, their mother whose grandgfather was Canon Owen Jenkins, the Principal of Bishops from 1901 - 1916.  He and his wife Margaret had several children one of whom was Pam's mother, Margaret.

Eden spent his schooling at Bishops from Std 3; Andre from Std 3 and JJ, the full 13 years.

It will not be long before little Wilfred enters the Pre-Prep!

We are looking forward to having a 5th generation Bishops boy!

It was great catching up, connecting and engaging.
