Congratulations to Cameron Harries (2013K) and Sean Tobias (2013W) who recently graduated from Edinburgh University! Cameron graduated with a Master of Arts Degree with First Class Honours in Economics with Finance. He has been accepted to the Graduate School of Economics in Barcelona to do his Masters, starting in September. Cameron is currently doing a ten week internship at J.P. Morgan in London. In his yearbook, Cameron mentioned that one of his Bishops highlights was "roaming up and down campus playing music in my car."
Sean, who matriculated from White House, lists as his favourite Bishops quote: "Don't tell me what a White House man is, show me!" by Mr. Wallace.
Sean explains further:
"Concerning info about myself, I am from Namibia and at Bishops I was in White House (2013). I did a similar course to Cameron, except I did a double major MA (Hons) Economics and Politics. Also, I was the Vice-President of the Edinburgh University South African Society, while Cameron held the position of Treasurer.
Concerning the future, I will be working in Windhoek, Namibia, for the next year working in the energy space with my brother Shiraz Tobias (2011 W) (Shiraz also graduated from Edinburgh University), specifically Renewable Energy projects for Namibia's domestic market. Yet, I plan to pursue a Masters in African Development starting Sept 2019 once again in the UK. The university at which I'll do the masters will depend on which one will have me! So hopefully I'll find that out over the next year."
