On Saturday 01 February 2025 the ODA Dr Paul Murray attended a St John's College function at Idiom wine estate owned by a Bishops parent, Roberto Bottega.
Attending were ODs Alan and Greg Sara who came from St John's to do their Post Matric at Bishops. Alan was in Founders in 1989 and Greg, as well, in 1994.
Paul came to Bishops from St John's in 1991.
One of the aims for OD gatherings is to meet up with Old Boys of kindred associations, for which there are several planned this year; and several were held last year.
The links between St John's College and Bishops go back a long way; with the current Head of St John's, being a former Bishops teacher, Mr Stuart West.
A former Head of St John's College The Reverend Sydney Clarke after retiting from St John's came to teach Advanced Mathematics at Bishops in the 50s.
Mr John Peake, a former Principal at Bishops (1983-88) taught at both schools.
Mr Peter Hyslop a long serving staff member at Bishops, attended St John's College.
