The Old Diocesans Ambassador Dr Paul Murray and the Director of Music at Bishops, Mr Jaco Goosen, cordially invite you to join them at a spectacular concert in the Hyslop Hall at the Music School.
Come and be part of a spectacular Musical Evening hosted by The Cape Town Branch of the ODU and Bishops Music Department.
Join us for a wonderful evening of electrifying music as flautist Liesl Stoltz is joined by Tertia Visser-Downie (piano), Roxane Steffen (bass), and Langa Dubazana (drums) for Crossover with Bolling — a concert celebrating the boundary-blurring brilliance of French jazz pianist and composer Claude Bolling.
The programme features Bolling’s iconic Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio No. 1 (1973), a seven-movement tour de force that fuses the elegance of Baroque with the groove of jazz. From the lyrical Sentimentale to the foot-tapping Irlandaise and dazzling finale Véloce, each movement explores a new musical landscape with wit, flair, and virtuosity.
This concert promises to be an unforgettable experience — a fusion of classical precision and jazz freedom — a celebration of music without borders.
