| Passing of friends | 
 
                            Chris Douglas (1958G) (1940 to 2021) died in Knysna of Covid on 5th July, 3 days before his 81st birthday. Chris worked for Southern Life then moved to Knysna in1965. He worked for Thesens until retirement. He was an expert fisherman and sailor. At school he raced a Sharpie at Zeekoe Vlei with older brother Barry. In Knysna he would fly his Hobie cat on the lagoon. He also designed and built two houses for his family. He lost his wife Lyn several years ago and is survived by his children Kerry and Christopher and two grandchildren.
