More about the passing of Graham Eve (1969F)

Jill Eve tells us more about the circumstances that led up to the sad loss of Graham Eve (1969F) last year

We recently got an email from  John Smuts (1969S) who had received an update from Jill Eve, Graham Eve's (1969F) wife.  She sent us the following message:

Unfortunately Graham passed away last May.

Graham had a melanoma removed from his back 40 years ago in South Africa.  He had suffered from skin cancers throughout his adult life in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

At the beginning of 2020 his melanoma reappeared having metastasized, spreading throughout his body and he was being treated with immunotherapy.

In March 2021 his cancer treatment took a turn for the worse and landed him in hospital for 8 weeks. His immune system turned to attack itself and there wasn't anything that could be done to reverse this and he passed on May 22nd.

I'm so sorry to have to share this awful news with you and am deeply sorry I wasn't able to contact you before now.

Thank you for sharing the circumstances around his passing with us, Jilll.  We hope that you and the family are doing well and have been supported during this very sad season.
