There was plenty of energy on the Woodlands Astro last week as an OD XI took on the Bishops 1st XI in a special exhibition match – the highlight of an Experience Bishops Hockey afternoon designed to introduce local Primary School players to Bishops hockey and, hopefully, inspire the next generation of players. For the young visitors, it was an opportunity to see the game played at the highest level on the Bishops astro, meet some of the players and experience the spirit and energy of Bishops hockey first-hand. It was a superb fast paced event with the ODs emerging as the victors 5-3.  A big thank you to the technical director of hockey Ryan Julius (2013 Kidd) for arranging the afternoon and bringing the match together. It was a great opportunity for ODs and the school community to connect through sport.
