| The Mitre - Home of the OD Union |
ODs and families gathered at The Mitre for a fascinating two-part presentation by Dr Stephen Price (1965G) on the Second World War, focusing on the events leading up to the evacuation of Dunkirk and the ODs who played a part in this pivotal event in the war.
In preparation, Dr Price travelled to both Normandy and Dover, retracing the landscapes and locations that shaped the campaign. His meticulous research, combined with a wealth of historical detail, brought the story vividly to life.
The talks also highlighted the courage and service of ODs who answered the call during both World Wars. Across 177 years, generations of Old Diocesans have distinguished themselves through service, bravery and sacrifice, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire today.
Thank you, Stephen, for telling their story.
