The 2021 Diocesan College Rhodes Scholarship

Dacre Lovett Haddon was the Bishops Rhodes scholar elect, 80 years ago but as he was killed in action in Italy in WWII, in 1944, (age 22), he was unable to go up. The school gates are in his honour.

Dacre Lovett Haddon, Rhodes scholar elect 80 Years ago.

Dear Old Diocesans,

This is to notify that an Info Evening about the 2021 Bishops Rhodes scholarship is scheduled to take place at Bishops on Monday 16 March 2020 - 7PM - 8.45PM at ‘The Mitre’ (in the Raymond Ackerman Centre). Applications close on 15 August 2020. The purpose of the meeting on 16th March is to provide information for those candidates who are thinking of applying; but anyone just wanting to get more information about the scholarship is also welcome to attend.
The programme is as follows:
1-The Principal Guy Pearson – Welcome and Introduction;
2-Bev Johnson from the Rhodes trust will share some information about the scholarship;
3-The Bishops 2020 scholar-elect Muhammed Razzak will share some thoughts about the application process;
4-The Secretary of the Selection Committee, Paul Murray will give a presentation on Rhodes and the Scholarship;
5-Q & A Session about the Scholarship;
