Our ODU Patron honoured

Raymond Ackerman (1948S and ODU Patron) and Wendy his wife received the Ubuntu Award at a gala dinner last month for their contribution and work to the Amy Foundation Trust

The Amy Foundation Trust (formerly Amy Biehl Foundation Trust) is based in the Western Cape and offers youth empowerment programmes to young people between the ages of 5 and 35 years. The Ubuntu Award is an inaugural award and recognises Raymond and Wendy for living the values of Ubuntu and being an example and inspiration to South Africans, Africans and the world at large. It highlights the significant contribution and difference they have made to the Amy Foundation and the lives of those they have helped change for the better over the past 16 years.
