We received the sad news of the passing of Michael Fielding (1955F) from his cousin Derek Stuart-Findlay (1964,O).  He wrote to us saying the following:

With sadness I’d like to inform you that my cousin, Michael Fielding, who was Head Boy of Bishops in his Post-matric year (I believe in 1956), died on 15 March 2025, soon after his 87th birthday.

Mike graduated with a BA degree from UCT and for most of his professional career lectured at the university as Head of the Communications Department in the Arts faculty.

He was involved in organizing a number of his Matric Reunions, unfortunately very few of his year are still with us.

He leaves his widow Billie, daughters Linda and Ann and grandson Michael.

Our sincerest condolences to the family and close friends of Michael.
