Yesterday evening Friday 29 August 2025, the 1995 Leavers met for part of their programme, at The Mitre.

This was the first intake into the College whereby Std 6 which had been offered at the Prep, was stopped.

As a result, there were the younger rugby players who might have been lost in the older year groups.

Paul Murray came to Bishops from St John's in JHB when the numbers at the College became supernumerary and a post became vacant from this situation.

At the event last night, a separate photo was taken of "The Colts", the U13 rugby side inaugurated by the head coach at the time, Mr Basil Bey.

The side ended their entire rugby season unbeaten.

In the photograph from LtoR at the back are Ed Durrant (B), Michael Dixon (F) & Greg Boyes (F):

In front, LtoR: Marcus Brain (W), Michael Waller (Capt of the Colts & Head of School:G), Tim Richman (B), Dr Paul Murray (Inaugural Coach & Staff: 1991 - ) & Rob Beighton (G).

The original leather ball and flag in the photograph, date from the year they played as The Colts (1991).

Those who were not present but in the 1991 team were Jason Krause (G); Imran Kamedien (S), Alex McKenzie, Craig Stanley (O), D Boud, Alan Kirton (G), Alex Rose-Innes (W) who met at the reunion in London, Mark Pfuhl (K), Stuart Abbott (S), Peter de Wet (W) Vice-Captain & Cameron Stevens (K).

The 1995-ers enjoyed their get-together over the weekend and were also present at sport events such as the Friday night hockey and Saturday morning rugby over the BishBosch Derby (a separate photo of their gathering was posted on the website).
