The OD community is immensely proud to celebrate Tristan Leyds (2015S) on his selection for the South African National Sevens Squad for the 2025/26 season. A product of Bishops' running-rugby tradition, Tristan continues to embody the creativity, vision and attacking flair that define our school's style of play.
The upcoming SVNS season will once again follow its global series format, and the Blitzboks head into it with great momentum after winning the 2025 Final tournament earlier this year to be crowned SVNS Champions. The Bishops community will soon have the chance to cheer the Tristan on home soil at the Cape Town Sevens on 13–14 December 2025.
The season kicks off with the first tournament of the year in Dubai this weekend where Tristan has been named in the squad, and we wish him every success as he steps onto the world stage once again.
