World Rugby's announcement of the Best International XV of 2025 set the global game alight this week, and South Africans had every reason to smile. The team is littered with South Africans, actually six in total underscoring the Springboks' extraordinary depth and dominance.

Among these names, one stood out with particular pride for the OD community: Sacha Feinberg Ngomozulu (2020F), named as the fly half in the fictional World Rugby Team of the Year.

For those of us who watched his journey from the grass of Lutgensvale, to Sahara, to the iconic Piley Rees, and then on to the DHL Stadium, this moment feels like the natural next chapter in a story we always knew would be special. Yet even now, it remains early in his career, far too early to make sweeping predictions.

Sacha's 2025 campaign has been nothing short of remarkable. He has already earned 18 Springbok caps for South Africa, cementing himself as the number-one fly half in the Springbok setup. His attacking spark, spatial awareness, and game management instincts have made him an essential cog in a rapidly evolving Springbok backline.

His performances were central to South Africa's major Test victories, none more so than his standout display against Argentina in the Rugby Championship , a match that showcased his maturity under pressure. His ability to control tempo, launch counter-attacks, and slot crucial kicks marked him as a player capable of shaping Test matches on his own terms.

In total, he has crossed the try line 7 times for South Africa in 2025, a remarkable return for a fly half and a testament to his instinct for space and his fearless ability to take on the line

His nomination among the world's best spoke volumes about the impression he has made on the sport's global stage.

From the first time he weaved through defenders on Lutgensvale, we saw the magic. Now, seeing him shine under the intense lights of DHL Stadium and earn world recognition, we are reminded just how far dedication and humility can carry a young talent.

His try against France was a moment of pure instinct, stepping inside two defenders before accelerating through a gap that barely existed. It was a statement under pressure, scored at a time when South Africa desperately needed momentum.

Against Ireland, his try came from vision and courage, spotting the Irish blindside unguarded and darting through with explosive pace. It shifted the complexion of the match and showcased his ability to read space faster than almost anyone else on the fi

As ODs, we could not be prouder. We watched him grow, we watched him learn, and we watched him ignite crowds from school fields to Test arenas. And now, as the world begins to recognize what we always suspected, we can only look forward with excitement and humility, to what comes next in the career of Sacha Feinberg Ngomozulu,
